Shakira knighted in France

Shakira had a big weekend in France, as she accepted a French knighthood and then accepted top prize at the NRJ Music Awards.

The singer was made a Knight of the Order of the Arts and Letters for her contributions to music.

Later Saturday night, Shakira received the Award of Honor from the NRJ Music Awards. These awards were created in 2000 by the radio station NRJ in partnership with the television network TF1. Also honored were Adele, Rihanna and Justin Bieber.

Heidi Klum to Divorce Seal

The supermodel and Project Runway host is set to file for divorce from her husband of six and a half years next week, TMZ reports. According to the site, Klum will cite "irreconcilable differences."

The couple, who are known for their vow renewal ceremonies every year, have four children: sons Henry, 6, and Johan, 5, and daughters Leni, 7, and Lou, 2. Leni, whom Seal adopted in 2009, is Klum's daughter with Flavio Briatore.

Beyonce and Blue Ivy checked out of hospital in the early hours of yesterday morning.

The pop superstar spent two days recuperating before quietly leaving through a side entrance at around 1.30am New York time.
