The Walking Dead Mid Season Premier titled "After" centered on Carl, after they were assaulted by the group of the Governor they are trying to regroup, Rick and Carl stumble upon a vacant house. Rick due to his sustained injuries past out for several days that left Carl to fend for himself and collect foods. He encountered a couple of walkers that gave him fits.
Meanwhile, the episode also shows Michonne tracking anyone that survived. It also shows her past stories when the world are still normal in a dream.
“Alive” highlights the constant grind to fight for survival in world of walkers. At the end of this episode Michone finally found Carl and Rick eating in an abandoned house.
