Hollywood couple Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner announced on Tuesday their divorce ending their marriage for 10 years. It came a day after their wedding anniversary.
"After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce," the couple said in a joint statement. "We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time. This will be our only comment on this private, family matter. Thank you for understanding." Their marriage resulted to three children.
Affleck and Garner did not have a prenuptial agreement on dividing their fortunes in case of divorce. It is reported that they are worth $150 million. The couples property assets to be divided include houses in LA, New York, Montana and Georgia. Garner is unlikely to get spousal support due to their wealth.
The couple asked for privacy.
"This will be our only comment on this private, family matter. Thank you for understanding," they said.
