According to a statement from her husband Olivia Newton-John the "Grease" actress has died at the age of 73 on Monday. She's a singer actress from Australia that has captivated Hollywood for her voice and beauty that made her one of the top singers of the '70s.
John Easterling, Olivia Newton-John husband: "Dame Olivia Newton-John passed away peacefully at her Ranch in Southern California this morning, surrounded by family and friends. We ask that everyone please respect the family's privacy during this very difficult time, Olivia has been a symbol of triumphs and hope for over 30 years sharing her journey with breast cancer."
Olivia last September 2018 said she is undergoing cancer treatment at the base of her spine. This was her 3rd cancer diagnosis, following bouts with breast cancer in the early '90s and in 2017.
She was already famous for her soft-rock songs before playing Sandy Olsson in "Grease" together with co-star John Travolta in 1978 which is one of the most popular movie musical of all time and made her a house-hold name.
