Grammys 2014: Lorde and Daft Punk among the big winners



The 56th Annual GRAMMY Awards held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California on Sunday January 26, 2014.
New Zealand superstar Lorde took the stage with her electrifying rendition of her hit Royals and took home the awards for song of the year and best solo pop performance.

Also French electronic music DJs Daft Punk took home the Album of the year for  "Random Access Memories" and Record of the year for "Get Lucky".

Vine Star Curtis Lepore tried for Allegedly Raping Jessi Smiles Curtis Lepore

Vine star Curtis Lepore attend a court hearing last Tuesday for allegedly raping his Vine girlfriend Jessi “Smiles” Vasquez while she asleep.

TMZ said that Lepore was arrested last October but posted a $100,000 bail so he can be released. Last Tuesday he pleads not guilty.

Here's what happened according to TMZ, Jessi Smiles went to Curtis place in L.A. in August but they argue about something and broke up. Jessi still in L.A. got a concussion while shooting a Vine video. Curtis called her up to offer help so she can recover, which she agreed. According to Jessi while she was sleeping Curtis allegedly raped her.

After the incident, Jessi tweeted:

"Be careful of who you trust. Always be cautious for your safety. Be strong and don't let your guard down..."

Curtis and Jessi's relationship started in Vine, a social media platform last summer and they met each other in person in New York City with hundreds of Vine users in attendance.

Curtis Lepore is based in Los Angeles and has 3.4 million followers, while Jessi lives in Miami and L.A. and has 2.7 million followers.

Vine is a mobile app that is owned by Twitter that lets its users to create and post short video clips.

Sandra Bullock is the top winner of the night she went home with four (4) People's Choice Awards and Ellen DeGeneres wins record 14th award at the 40th annual People's Choice Awards on January 8, 2014, in Los Angeles.

Bullock was named favorite movie actress, comedic actress, dramatic actress and shared the favorite movie duo award with George Clooney for the movie "Gravity". "The Heat" which Bullock co-starred with Melissa McCarthy was the favorite comedic movie.

Ellen DeGeneres was again the favorite daytime TV host, that makes her the woman with the most People's Choice Awards at 14 trophies.
