Ke$ha's song pulled from radio stations
Ke$ha's latest single has been pulled from radio stations following the Newtown tragedy.
"Die Young" ranked third on radio playlists last Friday (when the shooting occurred) and reached approximately 167 million listeners across the country, according to Mediabase, which follows radio airplay.
However, as it fell off some stations' playlists, the song lost 19 million listeners, dropping to 148 million listeners on Monday. One music expert who spoke to TMZ likened the dramatic drop to that suffered by the Dixie Chicks in 2003 when they were banned from country radio after slamming President George W. Bush.
Ke$ha, 25, did not comment on radio play for "Die Young," but tweeted to her followers to donate to help those affected by the elementary school tragedy, - "It's beyond words what has happened. Help families affected by the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary by donating here".
