Missing Producer Brian Gerber Found Dead in Angeles Crest
Brian Gerber 41, a film producer was found dead by the Angeles Crest Highway Wednesday morning. Gerber has gone missing since Monday afternoon.
According to the Los Angeles Coroner's office that the body found has the same name and age as the film producer, who left behind a suicide note.
On Facebook, a post on Gerber's page, written under his name, said: “Our worst fears regarding Brian Gerber have been confirmed. Brian’s family thanks you for all the condolences, good thoughts, prayers and asks for your patience and understanding during this most difficult of times.”
An Amanda Copeland then posted on Gerber’s page that Gerber was found on the Angeles Crest, and there will be an announcement regarding a memorial service soon.
Earlier in the day, the Crescenta Valley Station of the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department issued a statement that the body of a man in his early 40s had been found on the Angeles Crest highway after crashing his car.
That is the same location where an individual close to Gerber confirmed his car had been found.
Gerber’s family reported the 41-year-old as missing on Monday after finding the suicide note, prompting the Los Angeles Police Department’s Northeast Division to open an investigation.
The Wrap reported that the police had found his car, a 2004 Toyota Prius, on the highway. At the time it was unclear if the body was found on not.
The Coroner's office then confirmed the identity Wednesday afternoon of the body as one Brian Gerber. Trini Godoy is investigating for the coroner's office.
Gerber is survived by his wife, actress Arabella Fields, and two young sons.
